Spread: USC -24
Week 5 NCAA
Thursday Night Football Predictions:
This Mark Sanchez guy is looking like the typical
USC QB of the last 5 years, with only 2 games under his belt he
has 510 yards in the air 7 TD’s and 2 INT’s, not too shabby…Joe
McKnight is lighting it up on the ground with a 9.2 ypc average,
but has yet to get a TD and sophomore WR Damian Williams is
leading his team with 140 yards and 2 TD’s thus far. They have
a very young and very talented team which could mean more of the
same in the Pete Caroll era…Big Bowl Games and National
Championships. Oregon State’s QB Lyle Moevao is no slouch
himself with 922 yards and 6 TD’s to his credit already in only
3 games. He is able to spread out the defense and use all of
his receivers which can keep a secondary guessing and confused
and freshman RB Jacquizz Rodgers is proving to be a go to guy,
especially in red zone where he already has 4 TD’s. The main
reason for Oregon State being 1-2 right now is that
their defense is not holding up their end and putting pressure
on the offense to put up big plays to stay in the game. This
theory will not hold when playing the Trojans, they are just too
efficient on both sides of the ball. While 24 points is a
LOT!!! I am looking for a score like Trojans 48 - 17 so the 24
points is covered. Take USC -24. More

Virginia Tech Hookies vs Nebraska

Week 5 NCAA
Saturday Night Football Predictions:
It always pleases me when I get a chance to pick a game the
Huskers are playing in, because I really don’t like them only
because some of my friends are die hard Husker Fans and do silly
things like make everyone wear red on Saturdays, ect ect. First
of all V-Tech is a different team this year, they blew their
recruiting wad on the last 4 years and now they remind me of
Afganistan…Bombed out and depleted! Sure they are 3-1 but look
at their conference and that should explain why. QB Tyrod
Taylor (who names their kid Tyrod?) has only thrown for 199
yards and 2 INT’s (no I didn’t forget to list his TD’s because
there weren’t any). The main attack from the Hookies come on
the ground in the form of RB Darren Evans and then supplemented
by Taylor who has almost as many yards as the starting RB
(jeez). Most likely the problem is that Taylor is still too
young or he doesn’t have the WR’s to get the job done. Either
way, the Nebraska defense is going to make it a long day for
him. Husker QB Joe Ganz is off to a great start this year and
is showing the promise that Callahan had intended. RB’s Marlon
Lucky and Roy Helu are a great tandom and very productive
sharing time. The defense is looking tough and not making that
many mental errors, if they keep the pressure on Taylor then
this is a no brainer, as much as it kills me to say it, the
Huskers will Roll on these punks. Take Big Red, give the
points.
